We collaboratively train local leaders in church planting
In Mexico, we established a training course called Prédica Vida (Preach Life). This is similar to Cornhill’s F1, yet adaptable to the participants’ level of education. We believe the training we give strengthens existing pastors in faithful Bible teaching and prepare others to be church planters in this vastly unreached area. At the moment, we run a six months bible training course and focus on in person intensive Bible workshops throught the year. (More on the training page.)
Jesus said, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.” Luke 4:43
How did we get here?
Donald was born in Uganda and surrendered his life to Christ when he was 16. In 2002 he moved to Eastbourne in the UK for further education and led an international Christian Union for several years. After college, he spent two summers working in children’s ministry in the US before moving to Mexico in 2007 to train with a church planting team, while studying theology.
Becky is from Eastbourne, where she studied Physiotherapy. After university, she moved to London to pursue her career and it was during this time she attended a CO-MISSION church plant.
We met in 2004 in our church youth group and formed a friendship through teaching in Children’s church, on mission trips, and serving together. We got married in 2013 and together serve in central Mexico in an area known as the ‘Circle of Silence.’
Do you work with a team?
For six years, we served as directors for “Buenas Nuevas” (Good News) a team of local church planters. Presently, we oversee the Bible teaching course of Predica Vida with a small team of mainly native leaders. While working alongside SIM international missionaries in Mexico.
What fruit have you seen in the last five years?
In the last five years our immediate team has seen three small churches started, 32 new believers baptized, about 77 students trained in English, over 150 leaders equipped by the word to reach their neighbours with the Gospel, and more than 1,060 lives impacted through kid’s camps, evangelism, and family conferences.
